Career Insights For Teens, an interfaith youth ministry of New Castle Presbytery, is an established, proven senior high career counseling program for high school juniors, seniors and second semester sophomores. Held on two Saturdays or Sundays, the program consists of two sessions designed to help teens learn more about: their interests, personalities, abilities and values; their future career options; and how to find out what education and training would be needed to achieve their career goals. The specific contents of these sessions are: Session I: Parent Orientation (45 minutes), Student Profiling & Inventories plus Shared Meal (3 hours) Session II: (students only) Review & Interpretation of Inventories; Group Discussion; Shared Meal; One-on-One Counseling Session and Online Career Research (5 Hours) Who Should Participate?
High school Juniors or Seniors who want to learn about their interests, abilities, values, and personality, and how these affect their career decision-making.
